The best café within 30 km of Manacor – exceptional coffee, homemade pastries and a beautiful setting that is a rare gem outside Palma.

Sa Bakery is simply the best café in the entire Manacor area – and I say that in all seriousness. If you're anywhere within 30 km of the town and love specialty coffee, this is your spot. In fact, it's probably the only genuine place of its kind outside Palma on the whole of Mallorca. The moment we stepped inside, we were immediately drawn in by the combination of the scent of fresh pastries, a quiet atmosphere, and a space that felt as if someone had carefully thought through every single detail.

The coffee was flawless – exactly what I picture when I think of specialty: clean, expressive, with beautifully crafted milk-based drinks. The bagels and pastries were equally excellent, which is rare for a bakery-café combination – usually one of the two lags behind. Here, they've clearly nailed both. The shaded outdoor seating on the square was a lovely bonus, especially on a hot June day.

The owners deserve great credit. Building a place like this outside the tourist hubs of Mallorca is no small thing – it takes courage, vision, and daily dedication. The interior is beautifully designed, the restrooms were clean and pleasantly scented (which is more the exception than the rule at cafés), and the staff were friendly and professional. The café is also fully wheelchair accessible and welcoming to families with children.

Finding good specialty coffee outside Palma on Mallorca is a genuine challenge. Sa Bakery is a rare gem that deserves far more recognition than it likely gets. If you're in the area, don't hesitate for a single moment – this is a mandatory stop.
