Monkey Coffee House
Pleasant café in Prague, but the coffee did not reach the expected specialty level. Service could have been friendlier.
I expected more from Monkey Coffee House. The café presents itself as a specialty coffee establishment, but the reality was somewhat different. The coffee was average – not bad, but definitely not at the level I would expect from a genuine specialty bar.
The atmosphere was pleasant and the space looked good. I appreciated that they have oat and soy milk alternatives at a small surcharge of 15 CZK – that is fair. The price was also reasonable.
The service was a bit disappointing – not unpleasant, but lacking the warmth and enthusiasm you see in good specialty venues. Prague has strong competition, and customers have plenty of choice.
The place has potential, but would need to work on both coffee quality and service culture. As an average café it is fine – just do not expect a top-tier specialty experience.
