Gioelia

For me Gioelia is hands down the best gelato (ice cream) in Fuengirola — there can only be one king, and this is it. Quality ingredients with no artificial colours, a huge choice of flavours including plenty that are dairy-free, plus excellent desserts.

Gioelia is in Fuengirola on the Costa del Sol and for me it's the clear number one — there can only be one king, and this is it. We went there very often, and next to the ice cream on the promenade it's a different league. You can tell straight away they went for better ingredients — the flavour is clean and free of artificial colours.

The choice of flavours is great, and what won me over most is how many are dairy-free — hazelnut, pistachio, lemon, chocolate, mango, strawberry and more. So a lactose-free or vegan option here isn't just a couple of sorbets, it's a real selection. We tried several flavours and every one was excellent.

I'll admit I went out for an evening walk just to get the pistachio gelato at Gioelia. And it's not only about the gelato — the desserts are great too, and the whole display case looks fantastic. The space is cosy and minimalist, the service friendly.

Hands down TOP. If you're in Fuengirola with a sweet tooth, Gioelia is a must-stop.
